A paved road teams can ship on
Cloud engineering is not a migration slogan. It is a landing zone, identity, networking, and a road teams can ship on without inventing a new account pattern every quarter.
The zone before the workload
If every team builds its own foundation, you get six versions of “how we do IAM” and no one who can operate the lot. A paved road is boring on purpose: guardrails, a way to request an exception, and a default that is safe enough to use.
Migrate when it earns it
Lift-and-shift is a tactic, not a strategy. Re-architecture is expensive. The work is deciding which workloads need which, and owning the hybrid path when it reduces risk rather than when it looks modern.
Ship, then operate
