Six practices. One platform job.

Most organisations already have cloud. The problem now is production: AI that never leaves the demo, clusters that page at night, bills nobody can explain, and security bolted on after go-live.

Vilwave’s work sits there. AI infrastructure, cloud engineering, FinOps, SRE, distributed systems, and security are one job: build the platform, operate it, secure it, and run it to a cost. They are not six brochures and they are not six headcounts you have to buy as a bundle.

What that means in practice

Production AI is an infrastructure problem: GPU capacity, serving, inference paths, and the data around the model. Cloud engineering is the paved road — landing zones, identity, networking. FinOps makes the bill visible and owned. SRE is how it stays up after go-live. Distributed systems is the substrate. Security is designed into that substrate, not parked in a policy pack.

If nobody is on the hook once it is live, the build was incomplete. That is the conversation we should be in.
